(Anti) Depressed Fest – 2021, the festival of art anthropology
February 1 @ 08:00 – April 27 @ 17:00
TSU Institute of Arts and Culture invites to the opening of the second Festival of art anthropology (Anti)Depressed Fest. The festival is dedicated to the artistic research of anxiety and depressiveness of the COVID-19 dramatic period.
This year the topic of the festival is “Toxic positivity”. Artists, designers, dramatists try to “expose” the COVID anxiety hidden under the guise of cultural “positive” anesthesia that makes people ignore psychological and social problems.
As part of the preparation of the festival, the Open Call was held. It gathered more than 80 artists from Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk, as well as from Indonesia and China. As a result of the competition, 24 projects were selected. Young artists and designers – students of the Institute of Arts and Culture – were presented separately among the participants of the festival.
During the festival there will be readings and performances. The exhibition will feature paintings, posters, photography, installations, video and media art. The online exhibition is available on the website: http://tsu-gallery.tilda.ws/
